Veteran producer Surinder Kapoor passes away

Veteran producer and father of Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor and producer Boney Kapoor, Surinder Kapoor passed away following a heart attack. Surinder Kapoor started his film career as a secretary to actress late Geeta Bali and later became an assistant to filmmaker K Asif, who made the epic film MUGHAL-E-AZAM starring legends like Dilip Kumar & Madhubala. Thereafter he turned producer and made superhit films like PUKAR, WOH 7 DIN, HUM PAANCH and NO ENTRY. NO ENTRY was Surinder Kapoor’s last film which rocked at the Box-office. Surinder Kapoor was the president of the film and television producers Guild of India from 1995 to 2001. He was also honoured with L.V Prasad Phalke Award in 2009 from Dada Saheb Phalke Academy.
